George Lewis lived in Ward as a child and later lived nearby on the Morgan Ranch. In this interview he details his family history and tells about attending elementary school in the one-room Ward schoolhouse; describes Ward stores, churches and residents; dairy farming and sheep drives in the area; and discusses various other nearby locales, such as Gold Lake, Stapp Lakes, Brainard Lake and the Peak-to-Peak Highway.
